Creative Contraption News 9/12/10
Greetings!
- We have secured a date for our first fundraiser. Frank Campagna has graciously allowed us to use Kettle Art the first weekend in October. We are still planning a specific day, but the fundraiser will be either be Friday the 1st or Saturday the 2nd.
- Calling all makers! We are looking for interested members to show projects and demonstrations at the fundraiser. Interested? Email us at creativecontraption@gmail.com for questions or possible projects.
- This week’s meeting (9/14) will be all about the fundraiser. We need volunteers to help plan and promote the event. We only have a little over two weeks, so please attend the meeting if possible. Tuesday, 7:30 PM, Cafe Brazil in Deep Ellum – Here’s the Facebook event page.
Creative Contraption News 9/3/10
Creative Contraption is barely a month old and we have many exciting things to report.
- Because one of our sister collectives has generously decided to sponsor us, we’ll have our 501(c)(3) designation by the end of the week. This means anything you donate, give, or buy from us is tax-deductible. Awesome!
- We’re having a fund-raising party! Details are still being worked out, but prospectively the fundraiser will be the first weekend of October in Deep Ellum. Keep checking back with us for details as they emerge.
- Our logo is nearly done. Hopefully we’ll be able to show it to everyone by Monday or Tuesday of the coming week.
